Our mission is to ignite the exchange of visionary ideas and forge lasting connections between current and future changemakers in pursuit of a better world.

A Note from Our Leadership
YPC has long held a dual focus in advocating for change both through philanthropy and within philanthropy. 2023 has highlighted the degree to which the social problems we face — racial equity, the climate crisis, attacks on democracy, and more — are more persistent than ever. To that end, this year’s organizing principle is Catalyzing Change. We recognize that intractable, systemic problems require ambitious, large-scale solutions. We hope this theme allows for meaningful discussion on philanthropy’s present and future capacity to drive long-term systems change.
In the past couple of years, we have also seen remarkable changes within the field of philanthropy in response to some of these social issues. Since its founding, YPC has amplified the voices and work of changemakers in philanthropy, invited difficult discussion on improving its practice, and reflected on its successes and challenges. This year, that spirit is renewed. We have set up YPC as a forum for connection, conversation, critique, and celebration dedicated to making philanthropy more effective and equitable.
