OUR 2020 CONFERENCE:
A VISION FOR THE FUTURE
Friday, February 14
Against the backdrop of heightened political polarization, constant technological disruptions, and unprecedented demographic shifts in workplaces and communities, the philanthropic field must navigate nuance and complexity like never before. With the 2020 election cycle around the corner, the United States is actively engaged in a national debate about the shape and character of its future. Through their funding, partnerships, programs, and leadership, philanthropic institutions play a major role in this conversation, all the while being faced with the reality that some of society’s most intractable problems require new solutions and approaches.
At YPC 2020, we’re exploring the complex and dynamic ways philanthropy aims to address today’s most pressing social issues and the ways it will need to evolve in order to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Through the examination of innovative partnerships and giving structures, the entrance of new generations of donors, the role of philanthropic equity, trends in giving and politics, intersectional philanthropy, and more, YPC 2020 will delve into how philanthropy can marshal its financial resources and social capital to make a lasting impact today and beyond.
