Andrea Levere (she/her/hers)
CEO, Capitalize Good

Andrea Levere is the founder and CEO of Capitalize Good and a Social Enterprise Fellow at the Yale School of Management. In this role, Andrea has drafted the Blueprint for Enterprise Capital (https://enterprisecapital.info) to scale the delivery of “philanthropic equity” for nonprofits and social ventures to build financial strength and resilience and reduce the racial wealth gap in the nonprofit sector. She is President Emerita of Prosperity Now, an organization that designs and operates national initiatives to integrate financial capability services into systems serving low-income people, build assets and savings, close the racial wealth divide and advance research and policies to expand economy mobility for all. She holds a BA from Brown University and an MPPM from the Yale School of Management.

COO, Capitalize Good

Alexandra is the Chief Operating Officer of Capitalize Good, a consulting and advocacy organization that seeks to advance Enterprise Capital as a best practice in philanthropic funding. She brings a decade of experience in finance across lending, endowment management, and alternative investments. Alexandra was most recently an Investment Officer at Open Road Alliance, an impact investor specializing in bridge loans to social enterprises globally. Prior to joining Open Road, Alexandra worked as an analyst at the Boston University Investment Office and Forester Capital, LLC. Alexandra received her B.A. in Economics from Barnard College of Columbia University and her MBA from the Yale School of Management.

 

Jessica Sager (she/her/hers)
CEO and Co-Founder, All Our Kin

Jessica Sager is the co-founder and the chief executive officer of All Our Kin, a nationally recognized nonprofit that trains, supports and sustains family child care providers to ensure that children and families have the foundation for success in school and in life. She co-teaches a Yale University seminar on “Child Care, Society, and Public Policy,” is a trustee of the William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund, and is a board member of the Low Income Investment Fund. She has provided commentary on child care issues for numerous publications including Fortune, Time, and The Hill. Jessica is an Ashoka Fellow, a Fellow of the 14th class of the Pahara-Aspen Education Fellowship, and an Aspen Braddock Scholar. She was named to the CARE 100 list of the Americans doing the most to re-imagine and re-humanize our care system. Education: Barnard College and Yale School of Law.

Portfolio Director, Connecticut Opportunity Project, Dalio Education

Samantha is a Portfolio Director for the Connecticut Opportunity Project at Dalio Education, where she works collaboratively with grantee partner organizations to help improve their organizational capacity and performance management practices so that they can positively impact young people who are severely off-track from high school graduation or disconnected from education and employment. Additionally, Samantha leads planning and facilitation of grantee cohort capacity building through convenings and a cohort-based professional development training series. She also plays a key role in developing the Opportunity Project’s pipeline of prospective partners. Prior to joining the Connecticut Opportunity Project in 2022, Samantha spent her 20-year professional career designing and implementing programs aimed at improving educational outcomes for students in low-income communities. She has provided direct support to students and families as well as supported school-based and district leaders in their efforts to improve academic outcomes for students. Most recently, Samantha was the Managing Director for Achievement First Accelerate’s Navigator Math Program, a national instructional leadership coaching and curriculum implementation program. In this role, she managed the day-to-day operations of the program including project, partner, and team management. This included adapting curricular resources and practices to meet partner needs and the current context; evaluating, designing, and developing all program components for continuous improvements and growth including selecting, training, and managing consultants and team project performers.

Co-Founder and President, 20 Degrees

At 20 Degrees, Tom oversees day to day operations, finances, growth strategy, and products and tools for our clients. All of that to say, Tom is the engineer behind the scenes who makes things work. He takes our clients' complex problems and looks for approachable and accessible solutions they can use. He is especially fond of working with teammates to deliver "community-centered design" solutions and affirming leaders' agency in the process. Tom's work ensures that clients are able to understand their financial position and access the products and tools they need to lead effectively. Of the work Tom is most proud of at 20 Degrees, it was creating a nonprofit sector COVID-19 financial response tool-kit in March 2020 that saw 10,000 downloads in two weeks. The tool-kit's impact and resonance came at a tumultuous moment for the sector and spawned programmatic work that 20 Degrees continues to deliver today. Nearly 20 years ago, Tom built his career at a top Fortune 50 company, and is recognized as a corporate social responsibility (CSR) leader with experience in developing funding strategies, analyzing business opportunities, managing teams, and deploying community investments. Tom began his career at The Boeing Company as an engineer, bringing this mindset and his CSR skills to his work at 20 Degrees. Tom was recognized by the Washington Business Journal as one of 40 emerging leaders under the age of 40 who demonstrate impact through exceptional leadership in the Washington Metro region. Tom is a member of the 2020 class of Leadership Greater Washington.
